Vancouver's Train Fitness launches on App Store

The startup has shipped the first wearable workout tracker capable of automatically detecting sets and reps during a strength-based workout.

A few weeks ago VTJ spotlighted the top 10 startups in the New Ventures BC Competition, presented by Innovate BC. But we didn’t just list them, we also told you why each venture had a shot a winning the whole competition.

One of those top startups was Train Fitness, the first wearable workout tracker capable of automatically detecting sets and reps during a strength-based workout.

The company was founded because the current market of smart fitness trackers lacked a device that automatically tracked and recorded strength-based workouts. People had to either manually input their workouts or forgo tracking altogether. Train Fitness has created a solution using a deep learning model capable of tracking and counting over 80 exercises with 95%+ accuracy.

Today, Train Fitness officially launched on the iOS App Store.

You can download the app to check out what they’re building—and if you want to support their launch and growth, founders Antoine and Andrew have an ask for you: Read and learn how you can help them here.
