Nearing its 30th birthday, Safe Software rebrands

The company is also setting an ambitious growth plan of more than tripling revenue in the next five years, to hit $250M.

Safe Software, the Surrey-based firm building enterprise integration software that specializes in spatial data, has unveiled a new corporate identity. The almost 30-year-old company’s revitalized brand was inspired by the innovative ways in which its customers use its platform, known as Feature Manipulation Engine (FME).

Safe Software touts FME as the only data integration platform that truly supports spatial data, which means any data related to or containing information about a specific location on the Earth’s surface. As part of the rebrand, the company has introduced several new product names, including FME Form, FME Flow, FME AR, FME Mobile, and FME Flow Hosted. The company's spatial, no-code, and deploy-anywhere capabilities set the organization apart, the firm says.

In safe hands: The company is no stranger to awards. It recently scooped the Customers' Choice recognition in the 2023 Gartner Peer Insights “Voice of the Customer” for Data Integration Tools competition. By keeping customers at the center of its values, Safe Software suggests it provides superior service and technology to everyone. The new FME logo was designed to present that goal, including highlighting the platform, its relationship to Safe Software, and, above all else, the possibilities FME provides its users.

Not going to just play it safe: The company, which is entirely owned by its co-founders, achieved $70 million in revenue in 2022 and is on target to achieve $90 million in 2023. It has no shortage of growth plans, and is aiming to more than triple its revenue in the next five years, to hit $250 million. The business has been profitable since its inception in 1993, and the company notes that over 20,000 organizations worldwide use FME for their enterprise integration solutions, across over 120 countries and multiple languages.

Safe and sound: "Our new look embodies Safe Software’s ethos and demonstrates the company’s unwavering commitment to assist the world in its pursuit of harnessing the power of data,” said Don Murray, co-founder and co-CEO of Safe Software. “Our new brand is an important step forward as we strive to triple our revenue in the coming years.”

"The brand showcases our passion for spatial data and our dedication to using innovation to provide ever-increasing value to our customers,” comments Dale Lutz, the company’s second co-founder and co-CEO. “Our latest product updates in FME:23 will enable Safe Software to continue delivering our mission and allow our technology to remain at the forefront of our industry.” Receive 10 percent off a one-year membership when you sign up right here, right now.
