BC Tech, the largest member-led tech non-profit in the province, has announced the finalists for its 2023 Technology Impact Awards (TIAs).

The competition — one of the local tech calendar’s most prestigious — covers nine different categories, and highlights the companies and individuals that have achieved exceptional success in the past year.

“This year marks a big milestone for BC Tech, as we celebrate our 30th anniversary alongside the companies who have made it their mission to make B.C. the best place to grow and scale a tech company,” shared Jill Tipping, CEO of BC Tech. “It is exciting to see the impact that technology is having across industries and on the future of B.C.’s economy.”

This year’s 42 nominees were announced at the Bentall Centre in front of a live online audience, with highlights including the unveiling of finalists for the much-lauded company of the year category. Notably absent from this year’s slate was the bracket for person of the year, with BC Tech instead launching its inaugural BC Innovators Hall of Fame: a who’s who of local tech talent that honours the leaders that have stamped their legacy onto the region.

The winners in each category will be announced at the TIAs gala to be held on September 29 at Parq Vancouver.
