In early September, the B.C. government shared that, despite global uncertainty, the province’s economy was still growing and the government’s finance department had, in fact, an “improved fiscal forecast.” How? Employment numbers are up, and real GDP is still forecast to grow.
Two weeks later, we got a snapshot of some of the companies driving this growth via The Globe and Mail’s Canada’s Top Growing Companies 2022 list.
67 B.C. firms made this year's list, representing a wide range of industries, including many in technology. For your benefit, we’ve reviewed the complete list, tallied up the leading cities, and highlighted six firms that we believe have been flying under the radar.
Here’s how B.C. companies stack up by city: 37 in Vancouver, five in Richmond, four in Burnaby, four in Delta, three in Langley, two in Victoria, and one each in Chilliwack, Coldstream, Cranbrook, Duncan, Golden, Kamloops, Kelowna, Port Moody, Rossland, Surrey, and White Rock.
