19 BC cleantech leaders to know ahead of VEF’s clean growth event

In advance of the upcoming Vancouver Entrepreneurs’ Forum session ‘Clean Growth Stories: Lessons from Leaders Capturing the Climate Opportunity’, we’re spotlighting 19 BC sustainability leaders.

The BC cleantech sector is one of the fastest-growing segments of BC’s economy. It’s made up of nearly 300 companies that employ more than 16,300 people and generate annual revenues of around $2.4 billion, up from $1.8 billion in 2016, according to the latest BC Cleantech Report Card from the BC Cleantech CEO Alliance.

This interdisciplinary industry is driving innovation, employment and investment that’s contributing to a more sustainable world — and the rest of Canada is taking notice. Case in point: Leaders from across BC were recently recognized as part of the Clean50 Summit 11.0 in Toronto.

The Clean50 awards are meant to “identify, recognize and — most importantly — connect sustainability leaders from across Canada.” And 19 BC sustainability champions (nearly 40% of the total list) were highlighted for their critical work focused on moving climate solutions forward.

In advance of the upcoming Vancouver Entrepreneurs’ Forum (VEF) session Clean Growth Stories: Lessons from Leaders Capturing the Climate Opportunity, we’re spotlighting BC’s clean growth-focused leaders, as chosen by Clean50.com.
