The 21st annual New Ventures BC Competition announced their Round 3 Top 26 startups.

On June 7, NVBC announced the 42 startups progressing in the competition from an initial 206 applicants. Of the 42, 15 moved directly into Round 3, with 27 having to pitch in Round 2.5 on June 24th to progress further.

Now, 11 ventures are joining the 15 announced earlier this month, for a total of 26 startups moving forward.

Later this summer, NVBC will announce the top 10 ventures advancing to Round 4 of the 2021 Competition. As in past years, the winner of this year’s Competition will be announced at the Competition Awards in the Fall.

The New Ventures Competition presented by Innovate BC drives the growth of early-stage technology companies by providing mentorship, business seminars, networking events and recognition.

A total of $250,000 in capital and in-kind business services are awarded to the most promising startups in one of North America’s largest business technology competitions.

Past winners have raised over $807 million in financing, $288 million in revenues, and have created over 5,400 jobs in British Columbia. Over 150 of BC’s top business leaders volunteer as mentors and jurors. Since its inception, more than 1,500 entrepreneurs have participated in the program.
