Bulletin: Nextech AR joins exclusive Ericsson Startup 5G program

The program helps members grow their business by connecting them with partners around the world, providing exposure in major technology events, and sharing technical and strategic expertise.

Nextech AR, the BC-based augmented reality solutions company, has joined Ericsson Startup 5G network, an exclusive program that connects startups to opportunities with 5G technology.

A global program, Ericsson Startup 5G works with innovative technology companies to accelerate the successful commercialization and monetization of 5G. Specifically, the program helps members grow their business by connecting them with partners around the world, providing exposure in major technology events, and sharing technical and strategic expertise.

The program has welcomed startups with products that range from next-generation sports experiences, 5G devices with new form factors and augmented reality books.

Nextech AR intends to use its proprietary AiR Show human hologram creator application as well as its AR Ad network to showcase the power of 5G.

As a member, Nextech AR is part of a network of innovators that gains access to Ericsson’s consumer insights platform, 5G experts and testbeds, and exposure in events run in conjunction with Ericsson.

In April Nextech AR closed a $14 million bought deal public offering led by Research Capital Corporation. The company also launched an AI division led by Mirjana Prpa in December of 2020.
