INNOVATE ™ Vancouver Volume 2 coming in hot

Global Village Publishing is thrilled to announce it is expanding its Canadian library and currently in production for volume 2 of the INNOVATE™ Vancouver series, which will be a 300-pg AR-enabled book that gives an insider’s look at the stories of the people and companies that are pushing Vancouver forward on the global innovation stage.

INNOVATE® series are like conferences in book form,” says Sven Boermeester, founder and CEO of Global Village Publishing. “They’re also a little like speakeasies in the sense that they’re exclusive. We’re after the best and brightest, and when we find them, into the book they go—and it’s especially exciting to have another Canadian INNOVATE® project.”

The INNOVATE™ Vancouver Vol 1 showcased top innovators and thought leadership disruptors, who each told their stories of trials and triumphs through the entrepreneurial journey and how Vancouver is a city of the future that fosters and supports innovation at all levels.

Currently, the INNOVATE® Vancouver Vol 2 tribe includes ed-tech startup Future Capital (which recently partnered with BDC to train 150 women for angel investing); Next Decentrum, (a Web3 startup connecting iconic art and NFTS); Maximizer CRM (CRM platform with 30+ years of success in Vancouver); Iridia Medical (whose mobile COVID testing played an important role during the pandemic), and Boast.AI (a platform combines AI and tax experts to assist companies in R&D tax credits), among many more.

INNOVATE Vancouver Vol 2 will have the assistance of Dane Christianson, with Informa Financial. “The INNOVATE® series, and its framework, are a brilliant way to spotlight companies driving innovation within our city,” Christianson said. “It provides a platform for companies, big to small, to share their innovation story, and be recognized amongst the other homegrown success stories that our Vancouver tech-talent have produced.”

Every one of the stories within the publication will be carefully selected to guide the reader on a journey across the region and offer a glimpse into the future. Within the book's industry-specific chapters, innovators and innovation enablers from all over the region will tell the stories of their organizations and their path to success. Most features will be AR-video enabled, allowing participants' stories to come alive on the screen of any smartphone through the Global Village App.

Once invited to join the INNOVATE® tribe, these “INNOVATErs” work with Global Village’s production professionals to design custom double-page spreads that tell their story (“Every superhero has an awesome origin story,” reads the INNOVATE® Story Requirements webpage.) The feature also includes a company’s imagery, logo, and contact information. Augmented reality—videos that play inside one of the images—are also part of the package, as is a dedicated webpage on InnovationsoftheWorld.com.
