The BC Chamber of Commerce announced the appointment of Fiona Famulak as its new president and chief executive officer.
Famulak is a former president of the Vancouver Regional Construction Association and CEO of the Whistler Chamber of Commerce. She’s also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and a former small business owner.
She’ll work closely with the BC Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, member Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade, government officials, and stakeholders, according to a statement from the organization.
Dan Baxter, the Chamber’s Director of Policy Development, Government, and Stakeholder Relations had stepped into the interim CEO role while the search for a new head was on.
The President and CEO search was led by the BC Chamber CEO Transition Task Force and supported by national executive search firm Leaders International.
